Terms of use
These terms cover browsing, submitting and claiming listings, community signals, accounts and paid advertising on CommuniTEA Directory.
Last updated: 31 August 2026
1. About CommuniTEA Directory
CommuniTEA Directory is operated by here/now/today ltd. It helps people discover community groups, activities, venues, services and places across the UK.
The directory is an information and discovery service. A listing is not a recommendation, accreditation, safeguarding check or guarantee by us.
2. Checking information before you rely on it
Community information changes quickly. We work to keep listings useful and accurate, but opening times, prices, eligibility, accessibility, contact details, availability and services can change without notice.
Please check important details directly with the organisation before travelling, paying, attending or relying on a service. If safety, health, legal, financial or safeguarding decisions are involved, use an appropriate qualified or official source.
3. Listings and public-source information
Listings may be submitted by users, added by us from public or official sources, imported from open datasets, or updated using information published by the organisation itself.
We may edit, categorise, shorten, verify, merge, reject, archive or remove listings where reasonably necessary to keep the directory accurate, useful, lawful and safe. We may correct obvious errors without notice.
We do not claim ownership of third-party names, logos, photographs, trademarks or source material. Where content belongs to someone else, their rights remain theirs.
4. If you submit or claim a listing
You must submit information in good faith and take reasonable care that it is accurate. Do not impersonate an organisation, submit knowingly false information, expose private personal details, or upload material you do not have permission to use.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, format and adapt that content as reasonably needed to operate and promote the directory and the relevant listing.
A verified claim gives an organisation or representative greater ability to help maintain a listing, but it does not transfer ownership of the directory record or prevent us making corrections where needed.
5. Corrections, complaints and removal requests
If a listing is inaccurate, duplicated, closed, inappropriate or contains information that should not be public, please use the correction tools where available or email hello@herenowtoday.co.uk.
We may ask for evidence before making a significant change, especially where different people claim authority over the same listing.
6. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.
Do not use the directory to harass people, distribute unlawful or harmful material, manipulate community signals, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, or run automated scraping that creates unreasonable load or republishes the directory in a misleading way.
7. Community signals
Features such as “love” and “still running” are lightweight community indicators, not verified reviews or formal evidence. We may remove or disregard manipulated, abusive or obviously automated activity.
8. Advertising terms
Unless a different offer is clearly stated at checkout, £10 buys 30 consecutive days of an approved advert in shared rotating placements across CommuniTEA Directory. It is a one-off purchase with no automatic renewal.
Every advert is reviewed before publication. We may request changes or reject content that is misleading, unlawful, harmful, discriminatory, unsafe, poor quality, unrelated to the audience, or otherwise unsuitable for the directory.
You must have permission to use the advert text, images, logos and destination links you submit. An advert does not mean that CommuniTEA Directory or here/now/today ltd endorses the advertiser, product, service or claim.
Your 30-day period begins when we approve and activate the advert, not when payment is made. Placement rotates with other adverts. We do not guarantee a particular number of impressions, clicks, enquiries, sales or bookings.
If we cannot approve an advert after reasonable review, we will arrange a refund through the original payment method. Once an advert has been approved and its run has begun, refunds are not normally available for a change of mind, without affecting any rights you have under applicable law.
PayPal processes the payment. CommuniTEA Directory stores order and payment-reference information needed to administer the advert but does not collect your PayPal password or full card or bank details.
9. External websites and services
Listings and adverts often link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, booking systems or transactions on those external services.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We may change, suspend or remove features, listings or parts of the directory where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance or product development. We cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow us to do so, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate third-party listing information, decisions made solely from a directory entry, the acts or omissions of listed organisations, or external websites and services outside our control.
12. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how personal information is used. Our cookies and storage page explains browser storage and basic audience statistics.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, law or business. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will apply from the date the revised terms are published unless we say otherwise.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales where that choice is legally permitted. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you keep any mandatory rights and protections that apply to you.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@herenowtoday.co.uk.
